California Flight School Commercial Multiengine Rating

  • Commercial Multiengine Rating Prerequisites:

    Commercial Pilot Certificate
    Instrument Rating
    250 Hours Total Flight Time
    100 Hours PIC Flight Time, which includes at least:
    50 hours in airplanes, 50 hours in cross-country flight of which 10 hours must be in airplanes
    3rd Class FAA Medical or better
    Available to our own graduates only

  • Commercial Pilot Flight Training Van Nuys:

    We train according to FAR part 61. FAA approved BATD simulator and customized PC simulators / procedure trainers are extensively used.

    Our BATD Simulator can be setup to match the instrumentation of the aircraft you will be flying. This includes the Garmin G1000, GTN 650, GTN 750 and the Garmin G5.

  • The cost for the commercial multiengine rating is affected by a lot of factors.

    - the airplane you choose

    - how many instruction hours you require.

    - how well you study and how talented you are (and therefore how many instruction hours you require).

    - the time frame you complete the training in is a factor.

  • Commercial Multiengine Rating approximate total cost:

    15 hours of aircraft rental
    5 hours procedure trainer
    15 hours of flight instructor time
